Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI) Website
Web Design / Community Economic Development
As a volunteer of the Kounkuey Design Initiative, I created the website for the soon-to-be non-profit to have an online identity that matched the high quality of their architecture/community development projects. Previously, KDI only had a blog and a face book page, but with the new website they can now showcase their projects, awards, exhibitions, and publications. As a small organization with limited resources and pending non-profit status, the website has been instrumental in attracting interest from students, partner organizations, donors, and institutions. In addition to building and setting up the website, I helped KDI set up their company email and WordPress Blog.

My original role with KDI was to help out with the Kiki Weavers, a cooperative of women residing in one of the project focus areas in Kibera, Kenya. Using my experience starting The Harbinger Company, I helped the cooperative start their basket weaving business, including improving, selling, marketing, and pricing their products, as well as setting up their Etsy Store.
